"EILA has given the Liberian community a unified voice in Eastern Iowa. Before the association became this active, we often felt fragmented, but now we have a platform that empowers us economically and socially. Seeing how they champion our interests and foster unity among us makes me incredibly proud. EILA is proof that when we come together, we can achieve anything." Emmanuel R., Long-time Member
I have had the privilege of volunteering with EILA on several projects, and I am constantly amazed by their dedication. Whether it’s organizing food drives, supporting bereaved families, or hosting educational workshops, the leadership leads with heart and integrity. It is rare to see an organization so effective at mobilizing people for the greater good. They are a vital asset to Eastern Iowa.
Moving to a new place is never easy, but finding the Eastern Iowa Liberian Association made Cedar Rapids feel like home almost instantly. From navigating local resources to simply having a place to gather and speak our dialect, EILA provided a safety net I didn't know I needed. They don't just advocate for us; they ensure that every Liberian here knows they have a family away from home.
Don't worry, we won't spam you with emails.
